Thousands of women across the country join together May 5 – 13 to build homes with local families
Women volunteers will raise their hammers at Habitat for Humanity construction sites across the country in recognition of National Women Build Week, May 5-13. The event is a nationwide initiative of Habitat’s Women Build program developed in partnership with Lowe’s.
Introduction
Key to Habitat’s success is partnerships. One of the hallmarks of Habitat for Humanity is our ability to leverage our impact and effectiveness by using volunteers. We are best-know for engaging volunteers in construction activities, but we also are benefitted by assistance from volunteers who contribute to our operations in other equally important ways.
Volunteering with Habitat for Humanity is a great way to learn new skills and give back to the community. We welcome you to join us in making the dream of homeownership a reality for families in Douglas County. There are many volunteer opportunities available for individuals, corporate groups, students and youth groups, and faith communities.
